You always know your number, because the meter is simple and the rules don't move.
Created = counted
The meter starts when you create a site-study record in Deft — the moment it starts carrying compliance value. Nothing to self-report.
Locked for the term — no proration
Your cost is fixed the day you create the record. If a site closes or withdraws mid-year, the number doesn't change — no surprise true-ups in either direction.
Draft sites don't count
Planning a study? Sites stay in a draft state — free — until you finalize them. You're only billed for site-studies you actually commit to running.
